On Sunday 11 July 2021, after the Divine Liturgy, a brief presentation was given on Olympism and Christianity.
- Artoclasia (Blessing of the 5 Loaves) - July 11, 2021
On Sunday 11 July 2021, the Blessing of the Loaves, Wheat, Wine and Oil was served after the Divine Liturgy for Pablo Sr and Pablo Jr in honor of their patronal saint (Apostle Paul) on the eve of their nameday (Ss Peter and Paul June 29/July 12). We wish them a blessed name day and Many Years!
- Presentation - July 4, 2021
On Sunday 4 July 2021, Emily, one of the Mission's recently baptised members, gave a presentation on her visits to the Greek Orthodox Female Monastery in Geelong. An interesting perspective of a neophytes first impressions. Thank you Emily for a wonderful pictorial presentation as well as explaining the name and history of the icon of Panagia Gorgoepikoos.

On Sunday 27 June 2021, Deacon Fr Emil gave a presentation on his latest wood-crafting project for the Mission: The Altar Cross. There was great interest and engaged participation amongst the faithful as Dcn Fr Emil explained the details of the project while requesting the feedback of the congregation.
- Great Feast of Pentecost 2021
On Sunday 20 June 2021, the Great Feast of Pentecost was celebrated at Holy Ascension Mission with a Festal Divine Liturgy. Immediately after the Liturgy, the Vespers for the Day of the Holy Spirit was served including the special prostration prayers of intercession for the living and the departed.
- Wedding - May 16, 2021
On Sunday 17 May 2021, Pablo and Ana were married at Holy Ascension Mission in Williamstown. John and Evie had the honour of being the wedding sponsors. A festive banquet was held at the Mission afterwards. We congratulate the newly married couple and wish them Many Years!
- Holy Week & Pascha 2021
The services of Holy Week and the Paschal Vigil were once again served this year at Holy Ascension Orthodox Mission. This year the Paschal Gospel Reading was heard in New Testament Greek, Latin, Spanish, Latvian and English.
- Mission Pantry
Donations of non-perishable food items and toiletry items are always welcome at any time all throughout the year. Proceeds are forwarded to the needy in the local community via Williamstown Emegency Releif. For more information please visit our Pantry Webpage (click here).
- Orthodox Group - 18 April, 2021
On Sunday 18 April, the monthly Orthodox Group was held. A presentation was made on the History of the Bible.
- Lenten Food Drive - 29 March, 2021
Thank you to everybody who has so far contributed to this year’s Lenten Food Drive. Items have been delivered to Williamstown Emegency Releif on Monday, 29 March, for distribution to the needy families in the local community. Donation of non-perishable food items and toiletries are still welcome and graciously accepted.
- Sunday of Orthodoxy 2021
On Sunday 21 March, Holy Ascension Orthodox Mission celebrated the Triumph of Orthodoxy where we all honored the restoration of icons and their veneration. After the Liturgy, we honored the commemoration of the Sunday of Orthodoxy with an icon procession. The faithful of our Mission participated in the icon procession by reverently holding icons in their midst. Thank you to Fr Mark Woloszyn for liturgising and celebrating this commemoration with the faithful of Holy Ascension Mission.
- Baptisms – March 6, 2021
On Saturday, March 6, we celebrated the Baptisms of Rems, Pablo, Jack and Emily. The Baptisms took place at Holy Protection Cathedral in East Brunswick. Rems is named in honor of Martyr Remus. Pablo is named after the Apostle Paul. Jack has taken Herman (in honor of St Herman of Alaska) as his baptismal name. Emily is named in honor of St Emelia, mother of St Basil the Great. We congratulate the newly-illumined Rems, Pablo, Herman and Emily, and their sponsors Milan, John, Mark and Emelia, and wish them Many Years! We also thank the clergy and faithful of Holy Protection Cathedral for allowing us the use of the Cathedral for this special occasion.
- Theophany 2021
Holy Ascension Mission celebrated Theophany for another year in Williamstown. Following the Divine Liturgy, the Great Blessing of the Waters was held. The faithful piously queued at the end of the service filling their bottles with Holy Water to take home with them.
- Nativity - Jan 7, 2021
Holy Ascension Mission celebrated the Great Feast of the Nativity of Christ for another year in Williamstown to a full attendance and with great solemnity. Christ is born! Glorify Him!
