With great success, Holy Ascension Orthodox Mission served the Festal Hierarchical Vigil and Divine Liturgy for the Patronal Feast of Ascension at 32 Electra Street, Williamstown. His Grace, Bishop George of Canberra (Vicar Bishop for the Australian and New Zealand Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia) presided at the Divine Liturgy. Archpriest Nicholas Dalinkiewicz and Priest Mark Woloszyn from Holy Protection Russian Orthodox Cathedral, East Brunswick concelebrated with the clergy of the Mission and with the assistance of Proto-Deacon Alexander Abramoff (Holy Protection Russian Orthodox Cathedral, East Brunswick). The combined Cathedral and Mission Choirs sang beautifully under the capable leadership of Zoe and with the assistance of Sub-Deacon Dimitri Soupronovich (Holy Protection Cathedral, East Brunswick). The feast of Ascension this year coincided with the Mission’s 10th anniversary. A festal banquet was held at a nearby restaurant afterwards. We sincerely thank His Grace, Bishop George, all visiting and concelebrating clergy, altar servers and choir singers, the Mission volunteers and to everyone who attended, and to those who offered prayers in their absence. We also kindly thank the church council of Williamstown Uniting Church Electra Street for kindly permitting Holy Ascension Mission the continued use of their hall and acknowledge their support.
