May 31, 2020

Conditions of Entry

Those feeling unwell physically (including your children) must refrain from attending until they are certain of their diagnosis. Symptoms may include, but not limited to, cough, cold, runny nose, fever, headache, sore throat…

There will be a sheet at the candle-desk on which to record attendance details.  Please take care to record your details as soon as you arrive at church.  The completed attendance sheets will be retained for four weeks, stored securely, and only released to the State of Victoria Chief Health Officer if required for the purpose of contact-tracing should there be an instance of community transmission of COVID-19.

Disinfect hands upon entry by using hand sanitizer which is conveniently located at the candle table, kitchenette, and store room. For clergy and altar servers, there is a hand sanitizer in the vestry.

Disinfect hands by washing them thoroughly with soap for 40-60 seconds.

Avoid touching your mouth, nose, eyes and ears with your hands.

Avoid hand-shakes, hugs and kisses.

Stand well apart from each other. At least 1.5 meters. Do not move chairs around the church.

If you must cough or sneeze, do so using a tissue or handkerchief. If you are able to do so, exit the premises promptly to safely cough or sneeze into a tissue or handkerchief. It is a must that you have or bring a supply of tissues or a handkerchief. Otherwise cough or sneeze into your closed elbow away from others.

If the health authorities recommend the regular use of protective gear such as face masks then please wear them accordingly. Your doctor may also give you specific instructions for your particular situation in terms of protective gear in public

Venerate icons or other objects of veneration with bows. Likewise when greeting and receiving blessings from clergy.

Regrettably for the foreseeable future, no fellowship will be held after services. Do not bring food, drinks …etc.

In general, comply with the recommendations and instructions given by the official health authorities. If anyone is unwell or unwilling to comply with these requirements, they should not accept this invitation to attend.

Keep church doors closed after entering/exiting premises.
